was kindly loaned by a gentleman from Deal, who can be seen standing in front of the boat,
aged about 8. The picture below shows the North Deal lifeboat station - now the Deal Angling Club. |
This was one of three lifeboats originally based in the Downs
- North Deal, South Deal and Walmer. Only the Walmer lifeboat still exists today. |
